Summary: I was responsible for bringing the internal stakeholders up to speed with the innovative technologies and knowledge base by developing and presenting standardization and technical documentation, reports, charts,  training sessions, and one-on-one mentoring.

• Provided technical support on a time critical project of converting 167 reports from Cognos to WebFOCUS to ensure the successful completion within the critical time frame.

• Analyzed specifications and Cognos applications, developed content, and tested results.

• Developed standards, best practices, and tips and techniques, documentation for development, maintenance, and support. This decreased support and maintenance times by ~50% .

• Created presentations for Lunch-N-Learn sessions to WebFOCUS Developers and business users.

• Brought internal stakeholders up to speed with their innovative technologies knowledge base by developing reports, applications, one-on-one mentoring, and training sessions.

Summary: My responsibilities included tasks from the MIS and other IT Applications Departments.

This included, but was not limited to the following: application development for IT and other departments, requirements acquisition, documentation (SOX/SDLC), QA and user test and acceptance, maintenance and support, and mentoring junior level developers.

• I was hand selected by several other department directors to create specific complex applications as part of their team. 
• Developed and maintained SDLC documentation for requirements definitions, design and technical specifications, development, and technical and user acceptance testing.
• Partnered with senior management and business users to deliver numerous complex applications.
• Engineered advanced level reports and charts with extensive UX parameter pages, reporting, and drill-down capabilities.
• Increased productivity by more than 50% by mentoring junior-level developers in the use of the WebFOCUS tools for application analysis and development.
• Reduced project completion time by as much as 75% by constructing reporting templates and standards.
• Transformed 200+ reports from BIRT and C++ to WebFOCUS 82 as the technical lead.
• Decreased processing time by at least 80% for the weekly and monthly reporting cycles by converting major applications from Oracle Reports to WebFOCUS. The complete reporting cycles generated and distributed 18K store and organizational level reports in approximately 20 minutes instead of one to two hours.

• Decreased project timeline and application accuracy for a project to convert reports from Business Objects to WebFOCUS in support of driving forward BI reporting analytics.

• Improved the development efforts by analyzing the pre-existing reports and testing the new WebFOCUS reports.

• Improved the user experience by creating new dashboard applications, simplified parameter pages, and reports with advanced level summary graphs and drill-downs to extensive detail reports.

• Decreased development time by creating significant Proofs of Concept (POCs) to demonstrate various advanced level concepts to solve difficult requirements.

• Increased application security by developing the security mechanism used for data-level security between WebFOCUS and Teradata. This mechanism could also be used for application or report level security.

• Increased user buy-in by creating significant dashboard applications with advanced level graphs detail reports.

• Decreased development time by interfacing directly with the business users, end-users, and management to determine the scope, requirements, estimates, and project deliverables.

• Decreased issue analysis and resolution tune by creating and maintaining complete application documentation.

• Analyzed the original P&L Statements to discover incorrect calculations and corrected them in the newly converted reports.

• Converted a complete Business Objects application to WebFOCUS as part of a talented team.
